RNPMC and RBP: Looking Ahead
• The question was raised by several partners whether the collective was becoming a bigger and more complex organization than the Rogue Basin Partnership could house effectively.
• Issues:
o Will RPB’s previous OWEB FIP applications interfere with the collective’s ability to be awarded funds?
o Will the geographic scope of the collective exceed that of RBP?
o Will writing multiple MOU’s, agreements, and contracts with growers place too much logistical burden on RBP staff?
Seed Blitz / RNPP Species Priorities Committee Meeting
This meeting will include a discussion of how to best orchestrate a seed collection blitz in late June early July from 11-noon. Impromptu seed collection at Whetstone Savanna
Meet at the southwest entrance to the property we called the VPMCB (Vernal Pool Mitigation and Conservation Bank). That entry is accessed by Honey Tree Lane off of Gibbon Rd. The seed blitz is set for Thursday, June 29th. We will meet at the Touvelle Lodge parking lot in Central Point at 8:30 am. From there, we will carpool through the TNC gate on Upper Table Rock. Seed Blitz Part 2 White Rabbit Trailhead
We need your help to collect seed from a variety of native species in the Ashland watershed! The seed collected at this event will be used in restoration projects in the area to improve pollinator habitat and reduce invasions of non-native plants. Beginners welcome!
